The month of July in photos

Today I took the kids to a Kiddyhawk event. Not the brightest idea I’ve had. They make it look good in the pictures lol We drove over to Ipswich and signed in once we got there. Their “race” was due to start at 11am and we had decided to be organised and get there at 10am. BIG MISTAKE. The races were all delayed so we ended up waiting until 1PM! It was a nightmare! Elijah was tired and cranky and just kept walking off. So it was very stressful. Finally the race started but it wasn’t like a race. They went in small teams so it involved the kids waiting around for ages to have their turn. Sam struggled to get over a few of the obstacles so was a bit embarrassed as it seemed like everyone was watching. Finally they got to the good part. Mud! Kye was with us also but he decided to be smart and not get muddy so just watched on as Sam and Ollie dived in and got covered in mud. Elijah was in the carrier and had a feed and fell asleep. It was so hot though! The kids had a ball...

We decided to make an impromptu trip into the city today with the city. We drove in and El found a parking spot. We walked around along the wharf while the kids did some parkhall lol We waited for the ferry to arrive and went for a boat ride around the city. We got off at Southbank and walked around a bit more. We had lunch at Grill’d. The kids and I also tasted some camel milk! Different taste that’s for sure. Samuel, Elijah and I caught the ferry back over while Ell and Ollie jogged back over the bridge as the parking on the car was about to expire lol Kids were knackered and slept well that night.
