Lake Moogera Camping - 30/01/16

Image
We spent the weekend at Lake Moogera camp site with Sarah and Shae. The weather was nice apart from a little bit of rain but we had fun. We arrived on the Saturday morning and left Sunday lunch time. We went out on Shae's boat to a lovely spot where the kids jumped into the water and swam around and even went into a water cave. They also had a go of the tube. Being 7 months pregnant I did pretty good actually and just relaxed as much as possible.

32 weeks - 8 to go!

It's hard to believe that I have only 8 weeks give or take until we meet our little man. This pregnancy has definitely flown by, especially once morning sickness stopped. I really enjoy being pregnant as I feel great and glowing and like how my belly makes me look LOL. So far I have only managed to put on only 1.5kgs, which I am really proud of, but I can't get too relaxed now as I know in the next 8 weeks I will put on some weight as that's when bubs does massive growing. I will just keep doing what I am doing and hope I can stick under the weight limit for a water birth. Also hoping the small weight gain helps with recovery after birth. I have also managed to keep stretch marks at bay and only had one tiny one (about 2cm long) which has come off a previous one. I am still using coconut butter twice a day so I wonder if that, and small weight gain, has something to do with it. Night times are getting harder as I usually feel full and uncomfortable under th...

Back to School for 2016!

Image
Today the boys went back to school. I survived the holidays! Clap clap for me! I thought I was losing my mind at the end of them, with the constant arguing and fighting. They were definitely ready to get back to it. The morning was very stressful and felt rushed as the boys just didn't seem to get the importance of First Day lol. I thought Oliver might have been more excited. Once I had them fed, cleaned and dressed we took some pictures outside. Mum came over also. Vicki came to the school to see Oliver in his classroom but Mum, Vicki and El didn't stay long. Oliver was having fun playing activities on the table and wasn't fussed when I left (unlike one kid who was sobbing uncontrollably). The mums were given a little "pack" containing some tissues, a popper, a chocolate and a tea bag and a lovely little notes explaining these were for first day emotions. I thought it was very cute. Sam new class looked great and the kids were mixed up this year. H...

Aussie Aussie Aussie - Oi Oi Oi

Happy Australia Day! This year we decided to put in some effort on our Australia Day and got some aussie shirts and face paint LOL We went to Leah's for a BBQ and had fun chatting, eating delicious food and playing slip and slide and backyard cricket. Leah made the most delicious cheesy garlic bread I've ever tried! Proud to call Australia home xxx

Pregnancy Update - 29 weeks

Image
This pregnancy is just flying! Hard to believe I am almost 30 weeks, with only 10 weeks to go! I am getting so excited to meet our little man, which we have now named but will be keeping it a secret until he is born. Need to have SOME surprise. It is a biblical name too. Just thought I would do a quick pregnancy update and how things are going. Well I am 29.5 weeks, feeling quite good, getting lots of movements (some are really ouch!) and his head is sitting on my left side with kicks coming on the right. I am sitting at 90.9kg, and that's after the Christmas/NYE/Camping break, with no exercise done. I am hoping hard to get that water birth so am conscientiously making better choices when it comes to food. By this time with Oliver's pregnancy I had already put on 11kgs! I started this pregnancy at 89.2kg so think I have done pretty good. No stretchmarks as yet, and not sure if its the body butter that I have been applying twice daily but I do expect some i...

Camping at Brunswick Heads 2015/2016

Image
Well we have just gotten back from an amazing 11 night camping trip down at Ferry Reserve, Brunswick Heads. We were in the same spot last year but had a much better set up this time round. We had our new Oztrail cabin tent and Elliot had just finished the camping trailer he built from scratch on time. Setting and packing up was a lot easier.  We spent our days swimming in the Brunswick River, going to the beach, chilling in the tent or chairs or driving around locally. The kids took a few days to settle down into camping life and were still showing signs of being 'obsessed' with the phone/ipad. We did encourage them to scoot a bit which they did on occasion. The same people from last year were around us and were all friendly enough. On the second day Leah and her friend came down for a visit and to sleep over. They were very generous with food and drinks and snacks. We had set up our old spare tent next to ours so they could crash the night. On t...
