Give us a break!

Image
8 weeks Well, about 2 weeks ago morning sickness reared her ugly head but this time she's decided to party all day long :( Man, this is harder then I thought it would be. I'm struggling to get through the days and often end up in tears about how horrible I feel. El has been really understanding and is putting up with my daggy appearance, a trashed house, continuous trips to the shops and a grumpy wife, so bless him. You'd think I'd get a break from last time but no, not meant to be. My body just cant handle all the hormones running through it! I'm just praying, with all my might, that it doesn't hang around for long. I dont know what I'd do if it did :( I've decided to put Samuel in care twice a week, for about 5 hours a day. I really think he's at the age now where he will enjoy it and benefit from it. He needs to get out of the house and interact with toddlers his age. About 2 weeks ago he started walking. Its the cutest thing ever, to see him walk...

Up up and away

I have started to relax a bit now as my levels have gone up! YAY! Went to the drs today and they are now up to 370. Makes me feel so much more relaxed. I guess Im just not that far along as I was with Samuel when I found out. All that matters is the levels are going up (just over double each day) so therefore I have a healthy pregnancy. *cheers*

Worries

I'm already stressing so much about this baby and it isn't even 1cm long yet! Gee, how different things were when pregnant with Samuel. I'm probably stressing over nothing but I just cant help it. I went to the Drs yesterday to get my blood test results back and my HCG level was 110. I didn't think much of it until I got home and pulled out Samuel's HCG level and I almost had a hear tattack when it read 12,000. I rang the Dr and he explained that I may not be far along therefore the lower reading and that I can't compare the two pregnancies. So this morning I went back down to the drs and got him to include a test for HCG levels to make sure they are doubling up (which they should do every 24-48 hrs). I left there and went to the ultrasound place. All throughout the morning I had been drinking lots of water and by the time i go there i had drunk 1.5 lts. I was seriously going to wee my pants! I went in and the guy started doing the scan. After 5 minutes he said ...

Some exciting news to share - Bubba # 2

Well I am so excited to announce that I am pregnant with bubba number 2! Call me crazy but there will just under 2 years age gap between the two! But I'm sure we will survive and be OK. Other people do it so so can I :) We had been trying for 2 months, although last month was only a half hearted effort. This month I stepped it up a notch and got myself some OPK's and preseed (lovely!) and I guess it worked a treat! Yesterday I used a cheap HPT and two lines came up, but according to their instructions if the test line was lighter then the control line its a negative! But after some reassurance from friends (i posted under a secret name) they all said I was pregnant, especially after look at my temping chart (which i have been doing for 2 months now). So yesterday I went and bought a First Response test and tested this morning and voila. Two strong lines! Im feeling pretty guilty thought because my response certainly wasnt the same as seeing my first positive with Samuel. I feel...

Welcome 2010

It's the start of a New Year and I hope that this one is a good one! Not that last year was bad or anything, I just hope this year is a good one. Christmas and New Year was pretty low key, but that's how it's always been. We're all too old to go out and party hard LOL Christmas day we got up and sat in the loungeroom while Samuel opened a few of his presents and El gave me mine. I felt slack as I didn't get El anything. I get slacker as the years go by! Elliot got me some facial cream and a pedegg type thing (but a cheaper brand) for my lovely feet NOT. They are so dry and cracked so hopefully it will help. Samuel opened his presents which was two Little Peple sets. One was an aeroplane and the other was a school bus. He likes them but give him a $2 plastic lid and he'd be more happy to play with that. Always the way.... Adam was with us as he had been staying with us. I totally forgot to get him something so he would feel included. Sorry Adam! At around 1pm El...
