36 weeks - home stretch

Image
I can't believe how close I am to meeting my baby! Give or take 4 weeks! This pregnancy has gone so quick it's not funny! But I am just about ready to welcome little man into our family and our hearts. Just a quick update. All is going well. I have 2 days of work left. They will be busy days so I am sure they will go quick. Will feel so good but sad to leave work knowing I won't return for another year. I am sure I will pop in for some free food days though lol Can't resist my langos bread and king of wings! I had a drs appointment yesterday (36w2d) and all is going well. Kids helped finding heartbeat again and both found it almost straight away. He is still heads down but not sure if fully engaged. I will find that out on Monday when I have a drs appointment at the hospital. I have really slowed down with the exercise as I was finding it too exhausting and I was quite sore afterwards. I missed out on swimming today as Mum had an appointment down at the hospita...

My boudoir and family/pregnancy shoot

I was very lucky to have had 2 free photo shoots to capture this special time in our lives by a friend of Naomi's who specialises in boudoir photos and of course the ever so talented Na! In the morning I headed over to Greenbank to Jodie's studio (and home) and had my hair and makeup done by one of her relatives. We then went into the studio and I wore a few different outfits and posed under Jodie's instruction. It was fun. Straight after that I headed home to get everyone organised and then we headed down the coast. We went down to Mermaid Waters and met Na, Adrian and the kids. We met near some pine trees which looked lovely with the sun between them. Na took control and we got some lovely photos of the boys together and with me and El. I absolutely adore them and am so grateful to have these to look back on forever. We then headed over to the beach where I had changed into a beautiful maternity gown from Bella and Max Maternity gowns. It was a little embarrassing a...

34 weeks and growth scan

Image
Well I am now 34 weeks and 4 days! Time is flying by, that's for sure. Currently weighing in at 90.1kg so that gives me a gain all pregnancy of 900g. I am surprised at how easy it has been to keep active and make good food choices. I guess when you have a goal in mind it makes it easier to concentrate on the potential end result - and for me that is a water birth. I highly doubt I will put on 9.1kg in the next 5-6 weeks so I think I should be safe. I have also been thinking how better I will feel after he is born and what my weight will be then. I am sure it will be less then what I started out at. We will see! I am still walking a few times a week around Beenleigh. I do the same circuit every time and it is also 5kms. I am finding I am having to slow down a bit or I get a stitch and I have definitely entered the waddling stage. I also go to the work gym 1-2 time a week but will soon be slowing that down a bit too as the cross trainer is a lot of movement and can get ph...
