Veggie time

Image
Elliot and I have decided to try and be vegetarians for a week. So I've looked up and saved a few vegetarian recipes and have written my list and am off to the shops tomorrow by a crap load of veggies. Wish me luck! But only problem is now that i know how to make gorgeous roast potato's, I've had them twice in a row for lunch....I was so desperate I even took a pic!

Introducing Mr Helmet

Image
Yesterday I took Samuel to get his helmet put on. It was a bit of a mixed emotion day as I'm sad at the fact that he has to look like an american football player for 3 months, but I know its for the best and that I will eventually get used to him wearing it. He hasn't complained at all with wearing it, although we are starting off slow. Today was 1.5 hrs on, half hr off, and then tomorrow its 3 hrs on, half hr off etc until we get to 7 days later and he'll be wearing it for the full 23 hrs a day :( It didnt end up costing us anything as my health care card (always forget I have one) covered it...so we didnt need to up our PHI dam it! Afterwards I drove to Leahs and hung out there for the day. Elliot got back about 7.30pm as he was in country Inverell for a week. I handled it like a pro this time, probably because I wasnt hormonal and pregnant! Here are some pictures from yesterday. As you can see he is still a happy bubba:

Boy how he's grown!

While Im on a roll with blog entries, I thought I would post a comparison pic of how much Samuel has grown from newborn to now (pic taken at 4 months exactly): Samuel really is an awesome baby! And I feel myself fall more and more inlove with him every day, he is just so DAM cute! It's so amazing how much babies change in their body and personality in just 4 months. Who know's what he'll be like/look like in another 4 months - crawling I guess! He's still continuing to sleep through the night like a good boy for his mumma and most times sleeps well during the day. We are back on the SOS (save our sleep) routine and its going well, so I hate having to go out as it mucks it all up LOL He's started this new thing where he gurgles in his mouth. It's so cute and cracks me up. He is drooling EVERYWHERE and continues to chew his hands so Im wondering if its teething or just a baby thing. No signs of teeth popping through yet. Unfortuantely he hasn't rolled again fo...

Bumbo

Image
After Samuel's helmet fitting, we decided to get ourselves a bumbo for Sammy, to help get him off his head. Its a special chair for babies that mould into their body to hold them inplace! We also got the tray that attaches to it so he can play with his toys easily. Here are some pics of lil man enjoying his new seat:

Loves his food!

About a week ago I decided to see how Samuel took to starting solids. He LOVES them. We've had no problems with it e.g rashes or breakouts or constipation so he's still one happy man Im giving him 3 meals a day, but only 1 tablespoon of fruit and 1 tablespoon or veg per meal. So far he has tried: pumpkin, carrots, sweet potato, pears, apple and brocolli. He loves them all except brocolli so Ive put that on the bottom of the list until he shows more interest. I'm loving making it all at home. Its good to know that what he is eating is fresh and healthy and has no added nasties. Here are some pics of him trying brocolli for the first time. Needless to say he wasnt impressed!

Helmet time

Today we took Samuel to get him fitted for his head shaping helmet. The lady took measurements of his head and said it was definately flat (out by 2cm) and that now would be a perfect time to correct it and guarentee for it to go back into a nice round shape. I have to go with him in 2 weeks to get it put on. We decided on the blue camo style (will match his MCN's LOL). He was such a good boy and stayed still the whole time. I want to buy one of those Bumbo seats and have a lady on maternal who will sell me her one for $30. They are very compact and really squish the bubs in all the right places. It was be used from 2 months onwards. Stayed tuned for the fitting pics!So here are some pictures from today:

Happy 4 Months Bubba!

Image
Well, my beautiful, adoring, handsome, gorgeous little man is 4 months old today! Where is the time going? I had better start to REALLY sit back and enjoy our time together because before I know it he will be 1 and Ill be back at work *insert sad face here* Samuel is just the BEST baby. Well to me he is anyways! I have really been blessed by being given Samuel as my child. He's changing every day and it getting cuter by the minute! On Friday we are getting Samuel's head shaping helmet done, but it wont be fitted until another 2 weeks. Although the chiro is defiantely helping, and his neck movement when we first started compared to now has improved alot, his head is still very flat on one side. I dont mind doing it because Id rather fix it now then have problems later on. He will wear it for 23 hrs (*insert shocked face here*) a day and have it off for an hour (bath time). He will wear it for up to 3 months so I guess its not that bad. He will still look cute as to me...and they...
