Good news re my maternity leave!

Image
I have received some awesome news in regards to my maternity leave! I thought I had better get the ball rolling and start filling out the paperwork. I contact HR and they confirmed for me that my contract in actual fact went until the 31st December 2017. I originally thought it was only until end of October! We worked out the dates, including adding 2 weeks holidays that I accrue, and I am able to have off 7th March 2016 - 27th January 2017! This includes 26 weeks paid leave from Griffith at my normal pay, 2 weeks holiday pay, 18 weeks paid leave from Centrelink at the minimum wage (which after tax is $560) and then 1 weeks unpaid leave. This is 11 months off with bubs! Can't complain about that. Just thought I would share the good news. Nothing much new to report on the pregnancy front. I haven't gained any weight really and am still sitting on 90.6kg. I have been that exact weight for the past month or so now. I will update again next week after I go and ...

Sam's 'Future Job' day @ school

Image
Students had to come dressed as who they'd like to be when they're older. At first Sam wanted to be a police officer but every shop we tried on a police outfit (even marked size 6-8) they were WAY too small for him. Then we thought we'd see if he wanted to be an accountant like Dad. That soon turned into a maths teacher as he does loves maths. So we got a pair of glasses and knocked the lenses out and a tie! Presto! Instant nerdy maths teacher! He was the star of the school, with every student and teacher commenting on his outfit. At chapel Ms Eyres (the principal) chose a few students to go up the front and asked them what they'd like the school to do for the day. Sam's response was hilarious. Such a character our boy. Ollie also went up on stage with his senior kindy class and sang a God song that they had been practising. He was very cute up on stage.

20 weeks! Half way!

Image
Well today I have hit the half way mark. 20 weeks! Can you believe it? Above is a photo of the little man yesterday @ 19 weeks 6 days. This is probably the best photo they got of him unfortunately but it's still amazing to look at and wonder what he will be like... Since 19 weeks I have been feeling a lot more little kicks, which is exciting. It really is a reminder of the precious life growing inside me and how blessed and lucky I am to be able to carry and grow this child. God has chosen this little one for me so I am grateful. In regards to health, I am still feeling great! Still a little tired from some night wake-ups from the boys, or the cat, but apart from that I am good. I haven't put any weight on in the past month or so but am eating great (most of the time) and am now trying to exercise whenever I can, They have just re-done the gym at work so the equipment is newer which helps get you motivated. I am religiously applyi...

A Love Letter To My Unborn Child

Image
I can't take credit for this letter but I relate to all that is said. Can't wait to meet you baby boy x My Love, I am your mother, you are my joy.  I don’t know much about you other than you have half my  DNA .  I know you have part my blood running through you and that when you’re born, you will have some of my traits.  Like my personality, or my smile, or my eyes.  Maybe you’ll be like me in that you’ll see the beauty of living life freely to make your own choices when you’re older because of God’s grace.  I don’t know what struggles in life you will have to face.  I don’t know if i’ll be able to protect you from anything or anyone that may prevent your happiness. I know that I am so in love with you and you have yet to take your first breath; and with every breath you breathe after that I pray you always feel my love.  The one thing I know without any doubt, and beyond what my mind can comprehen...

Dad, Kristine and Shayden's Visit

Image
We had Dad, Kristine and Shayden come up for the weekend. It was so good to see them...esp Kristine. It had been a couple of years since I had seen her last. She has hopes to move up here after high school. I think that would be lovely so the 4 sisters can be together. We went to a Dean Vegas concert in Beenleigh on Saturday night which was a lot of fun. The girls didn't drink but we still had a ball. On Sunday we went round to Na's for a BBQ and let the kids have a good swim. We just hung out in her patio area by the pool. It was so nice and relaxing....well except when the kids started fighting together. We got some lovely photos together...ones I will cherish forever. Very rare to have all 4 sisters together.
