Boxing Day 2011

Image
We spent Boxing Day with Vicki and Paul and went out to dinner at Sizzlers. The kids enjoyed opening their presents they got from Nan and Pop. We went out to Sizzlers for dinner and Samuel slept through the whole thing in the pram!

Our night out in Mooloolaba

Image
Elliot, his boss and another work mate were invited to one of their clients Christmas parties up on the Sunshine Coast. We drove up there with the kids (the traffic was horrific so we got there late) and checked into our paid-for hotel. Wow it was beautiful!  We had a bite to eat and then got ready to leave. Just before we did the babysitter that we were hiring from an agency turned up. I felt comfortable with her so we snuck out. We made our way to the RSL and joined the party. There was UNLIMITED alcohol, INCLUDING spirits and I think I went a bit overboard. I kept going to the toilet and every time I did I would get another round of drinks. I had drunk so many smirnoffs it wasn't funny... we left about 11.30pm as we had already extended the babysitters hours (expensive!) but I don't really remember much after that. I do however remember pushing El along the main strip/highway thing in Mooloolaba and then he did the same to me...and then he left me in the ...

The Boulevard Christmas Party

Image
Last week we had the boys Daycare Christmas Party and Performance at the Beenleigh Performance Centre. Before we went in the boys got to meet and have a photo with Santa. I was surprised Oliver didnt cry at all because he can be a bit clingy at times. After a bit of a play (crazy having all those kids running around!) the kids got up on stage with their class and sang some songs and did some dances. Ollie just crawled around and of course Sam didnt want to be on stage and kept running off to go and jump on the mini tramp they had set up. I also got to pick up their communication and artwork books. The Boulevard are such a great daycare and I have decided that I will be keeping the boys in there until they go to school, so no C & K for Samuel. The hours just wouldn't suit and you dont get government rebate. I enquired about the preprep program and its very similar to C & K's and Sam's teacher Boe is SO SO good with the kids! It will give him some more time to mat...

Playgroup Xmas Party

Image
Today we had our Playgroup Xmas party at Eagleby Pools. It was a great day and the kids really enjoyed swimming in the water - well when I say swim I mean either sitting in the shallow end or clinging onto me. My  boys defiantly are not swimmers at heart. We all brought a nice plate of food and Pat (the leader Kerry's husband) dressed up as Santa and gave the kids their presents that we had bought and given to him prior.n Poor Sammy had to wait until the very end! He was very patient though. I also bought my friend Amy from next door along. She is such a sweet heart. I had secretly collected money from the girls at playgroup and we bought Kerry some cute little gifts to thank her for her efforts. Here are some pics from our party:

Bianca's 30th Croquet Party & Foo Fighters! All in one day!

Image
What a jam packed day we had yesterday! We were invited to Bianca's 30th (owner of Peekaboo magazine & Na's best friend) Croquet party. It was close to the city and she really had outdone herself! The food was amazing (think BIG arse prawns) as was the ice sculpture she had. Everyone was dressed just gorgeous, especially Naomi...she had really gone crazy but looks beautiful. We drunk some wine and played croquet (actually quite fun) while the kids ran around and got their faces painted etc. After a couple of hours we headed back home and dropped the kids off as Vicki and Paul were minding them. We then drove down the coast and went to the foo fighters concert! They are such an awesome band....but by the near the end of it I was dead tired so we left a little early. Lucky we did as the crowd started piling out just after we left.
