The Nursery

25 weeks 3 days

Tonight Ell and I did a bit of work on the nusery. For the last few days I had been busy painting the wooden tallboy we bought off the local furniture shop. Once it had dried we bought it into the nursery. We also put up the dream plaque above the cot and set up the lamp etc. We still have some work to do, like put down the skirting boards and put up the sliding wardrobe doors, but we'll get there!

On the pregnancy side of things, everything is going well.....BUT Im suffering from heart burn, sore back, peeing constantly (and most of the time nothing comes out!), stretching stomach, the discomfort of turning over in bed, being so emotional over little stupid things, bleeding gums, bubs having karate lessons in my tummy at 5am in the morning and feeling ever so tired!

The joys of pregnancy! But you know what? I love it because its bringing me closer to meeting my little man. I cant wait for that day and have tears just thinking about it...bring on 3rd October!

Sammy is 2 months!

Well my little man is 2 months old! Although it does feel like he has been in our lives forever! Thought I would do an update on us while Samuel is having a sleep. He is such a good baby, and I noticed this since we made the fulltime switch to formula. I tried with b/f but it just wasnt working for us. S is such a more contented and happy baby. S had his 2 month needles the other day and it was the hardest thing I have had to do! I had to hold his poor little legs down while they stuck the needles in him. The first one was bad and he cried but stopped pretty much straight away, but the second one OMG He screamed so loud and his face went bright red and he was so sad.... :( It took me 10 mins to soothe him. Im defiantely not looking forward to his 4 month needles. He is almost sleeping through the night now! Bedtime is between 7-730pm, and I follow the bath, bottle, bed routine. This has helped him realise bedtime is approaching and he starts to unwind! He will generally sleep until bet...

Mr Timmy came for a visit

34 weeks 6 days Tim was up in QLD for his school rock-band tour and so we decided to meet up for dinner. It had been over a year since we had seen him last. We went to the Glen Hotel and had a nice dinner. A few hours before we had left Samuel fell face first into gravel in the front yard. Poor lil thing was all scratched up. But he was really well behaved considering it was late at night when he's usually fast asleep. Here are some pics:

Merry Christmas Everyone

Just a quick blog post for our Christmas Day at the Johnson Household. We spent the day at home just chilling. The boys opened their presents when they woke up. They got a mountain bike each and a few other bits and pieces and Elijah opened his pressie as well. We had mum over for lunch. It was a nice day :)
