Sam & Ollie's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to my boys!

Today we had the boys combined birthday party at the duck park in Beenleigh.

Elliot and Paul got down there at 5.30am to reserve a table that was right next to the main playground and BBQ but he almost had it stolen from an old couple! Lucky he stood his ground and the couple left.

It was a little bit stressful at first because of all the running around I was doing in the morning: collecting balloons, bringing all the food and drink over (that Shara kindly helped me prepare and make) and chairs/tables etc. Once we were all set up I could relax!

We had heaps of people come and the boys got so spoilt. Everything from McQueen toys to books. I had a Cheesecake shop Caramel Lightning McQueen cake for Sam and Jeanette made a gorgeous cat cake for Ollie! I secretely want a tradition to continue of Jeanette making a cake for one of the boys every year :) She loves doing it and does an amazing job.

Cant believe my boys are 3 and 1! Not sure I will do a BBQ party next year. Might just have a combined party at Wriggle It Playcentre! Let others do the work for me LOL

Sammy is 2 months!

Well my little man is 2 months old! Although it does feel like he has been in our lives forever! Thought I would do an update on us while Samuel is having a sleep. He is such a good baby, and I noticed this since we made the fulltime switch to formula. I tried with b/f but it just wasnt working for us. S is such a more contented and happy baby. S had his 2 month needles the other day and it was the hardest thing I have had to do! I had to hold his poor little legs down while they stuck the needles in him. The first one was bad and he cried but stopped pretty much straight away, but the second one OMG He screamed so loud and his face went bright red and he was so sad.... :( It took me 10 mins to soothe him. Im defiantely not looking forward to his 4 month needles. He is almost sleeping through the night now! Bedtime is between 7-730pm, and I follow the bath, bottle, bed routine. This has helped him realise bedtime is approaching and he starts to unwind! He will generally sleep until bet...

Mr Timmy came for a visit

34 weeks 6 days Tim was up in QLD for his school rock-band tour and so we decided to meet up for dinner. It had been over a year since we had seen him last. We went to the Glen Hotel and had a nice dinner. A few hours before we had left Samuel fell face first into gravel in the front yard. Poor lil thing was all scratched up. But he was really well behaved considering it was late at night when he's usually fast asleep. Here are some pics:

Merry Christmas Everyone

Just a quick blog post for our Christmas Day at the Johnson Household. We spent the day at home just chilling. The boys opened their presents when they woke up. They got a mountain bike each and a few other bits and pieces and Elijah opened his pressie as well. We had mum over for lunch. It was a nice day :)
