The Boys combined birthday party


Yesterday we celebrated the boys birthdays in a combined birthday party. I always say I will just have a quiet one for them the following year but that always goes out the window when I get a theme in my head!


We went to Alexander Clarke Park again (where we had Oliver's 2nd birthday) and had a really big turn out. There was around 18 kids and lots of adults. El cooked a lovely BBQ and the kids had a ball with Jo the reptile lady, who did a reptile show with live ones!

As you can see the party was reptile themed and a lot of effort went into the decorating. I even had customised t-shirts for the kids made up with their names, ages etc.

The boy's got spoilt rotten with toys and were very juiced up on sugar. I am glad its over with for another year but I will definitely be sticking to 'pick 2 friends each for a play date at ours" party next year.

Sammy is 2 months!

Well my little man is 2 months old! Although it does feel like he has been in our lives forever! Thought I would do an update on us while Samuel is having a sleep. He is such a good baby, and I noticed this since we made the fulltime switch to formula. I tried with b/f but it just wasnt working for us. S is such a more contented and happy baby. S had his 2 month needles the other day and it was the hardest thing I have had to do! I had to hold his poor little legs down while they stuck the needles in him. The first one was bad and he cried but stopped pretty much straight away, but the second one OMG He screamed so loud and his face went bright red and he was so sad.... :( It took me 10 mins to soothe him. Im defiantely not looking forward to his 4 month needles. He is almost sleeping through the night now! Bedtime is between 7-730pm, and I follow the bath, bottle, bed routine. This has helped him realise bedtime is approaching and he starts to unwind! He will generally sleep until bet...

Mr Timmy came for a visit

34 weeks 6 days Tim was up in QLD for his school rock-band tour and so we decided to meet up for dinner. It had been over a year since we had seen him last. We went to the Glen Hotel and had a nice dinner. A few hours before we had left Samuel fell face first into gravel in the front yard. Poor lil thing was all scratched up. But he was really well behaved considering it was late at night when he's usually fast asleep. Here are some pics:

Merry Christmas Everyone

Just a quick blog post for our Christmas Day at the Johnson Household. We spent the day at home just chilling. The boys opened their presents when they woke up. They got a mountain bike each and a few other bits and pieces and Elijah opened his pressie as well. We had mum over for lunch. It was a nice day :)
