Camping @ Brunswick Heads - waterfront style!

Challenge 101 - go camping with a newborn - CHECK!

Well we went down to our usual spot down at Brunswick Heads on Friday as we had a waterfront site booked in for the long weekend. We didn't leave as early as we would have liked so got stuck in a bit of traffic but we finally made it around 5pm. Some lovely neighbour campers came and offered a hand setting up the tent as they could obviously see I had my hands full and it was starting to go dark.

The kids always act like turds when we first arrive at camping. Getting used to their new surrounds I guess. We unpacked everything and chilled out to take in the beautiful water front view. Elijah was pretty good. I just gave him the boob whenever he needed too, which seemed a lot hehe.

We spent the next 2 days just hanging out at the site, laying in the hammock by the river, kids went for scoots and 'detective' walks, swam in the river and many a cups of tea!

We notice that from around 3am Elijah is quite unsettled. He grunts and squirms and pulls his legs up to his chest like he has wind. We have helped wind him and some of his farts sound like a grown man's fart! Cracks us up.

We left on the Monday and because we had a lighter setup this time (no tarp) it didn't take as long to leave. We had an amazing time and would love to get a waterfront site during our xmas holidays. We may be waiting a while though!
