WOW- from blob to baby

13 weeks 1 day


Today I saw bubs! And wow, what a difference 7 weeks can make! It actually looked like a real baby!

I called in sick with work as I was just feeling so exhausted. The night before the power turned itself off whilst we were asleep so of course we thought it was someone messing around with us.

I ended up sleeping in till 11.30am and waking up in just enough time to get to my OB appointment in time.

I waited for about 10 mins and was then called in. She took my stats and all is OK. I forgot to ask to weigh myself so am not sure if I have put on any weight. I dont feel like I have though.

Near the end of the app. Fiona said lets hop on the ultrasoun machine and see bubs. I think she wanted to do this because I had decided not to have a 12 week scan. I was SO excited as I know what 12 week old bubs look like.

As soon as I layed down I saw bubs. It was so awesome! It was jumping around and even punched me a few times. It would move a bit but then relax. It was a great experience.

So Im pretty happy to have seen bubs and it will help me be patient until my 19 week scan. I cant wait till DH can experience it too.

Sammy is 2 months!

Well my little man is 2 months old! Although it does feel like he has been in our lives forever! Thought I would do an update on us while Samuel is having a sleep. He is such a good baby, and I noticed this since we made the fulltime switch to formula. I tried with b/f but it just wasnt working for us. S is such a more contented and happy baby. S had his 2 month needles the other day and it was the hardest thing I have had to do! I had to hold his poor little legs down while they stuck the needles in him. The first one was bad and he cried but stopped pretty much straight away, but the second one OMG He screamed so loud and his face went bright red and he was so sad.... :( It took me 10 mins to soothe him. Im defiantely not looking forward to his 4 month needles. He is almost sleeping through the night now! Bedtime is between 7-730pm, and I follow the bath, bottle, bed routine. Mr Timmy came for a visit

34 weeks 6 days Tim was up in QLD for his school rock-band tour and so we decided to meet up for dinner. It had been over a year since we had seen him last. We went to the Glen Hotel and had a nice dinner. A few hours before we had left Samuel fell face first into gravel in the front yard. Poor lil thing was all scratched up. But he was really well behaved considering it was late at night when he's usually fast asleep. Here are some pics:

Merry Christmas Everyone

Just a quick blog post for our Christmas Day at the Johnson Household. We spent the day at home just chilling. The boys opened their presents when they woke up. They got a mountain bike each and a few other bits and pieces and Elijah opened his pressie as well. We had mum over for lunch. It was a nice day :)
