Camping 2013

We decided to go camping somewhere different this year. We booked ourselves into Forest Glen Resort (Big 4) camp site and it was a great chance. Forest Glen is located around 15km from  the Sunshine Coast and is very scenic.

We had booked into an ensuite tent site so we had our own shower and toilet for the stay. Totally worth the extra $.

The place had a huge kids water slide in the pool area and the kids had a ball going swimming every day. There was also kids club where we sat down and did some craft.

Na, Adrian, the kids, Brandon and Ray and Toni also came and visited us and we took the kids to their first disco held at the resort. Sam had a crush on a little Asian girl, who was 8 and was playing it cool.

Na and Adrian were staying at Maloolaba in a nice hotel with views so a few times we went and visited them and spent some days at the beach.

Near the end of the trip, we were at the beach and Elliot was pulling the kids along the watery sand on the boogie board when all of a sudden the string ripped out of the board and hit him in the eye. From a distance it looked like he was having a fight with Brandon, but I soon realised what happened. He was in agony and couldn't open his eye. Brandon rushed him off to hospital. In the end he was very lucky to not have done major damage.

That night when we got back to the site, we had missed a huge storm that came over the site. A lot of our clothes were thrown everywhere and there was a lot of water. By this point I was over it so I made the decision for us to leave a day early. 6 days was enough. We packed up the next morning and by late lunch we were on our way home.

I really enjoyed myself, as did the kids and El, and we might come back next year.
